RENTAL GUIDE
Renting a builder floor in Gurgaon: parking, backup and total costs
A builder-floor listing needs more detail than a BHK label and monthly rent. Confirm the specific floor, access, parking allocation, backup coverage and full move-in cost before you arrange a viewing.

Which floor are you actually renting?
Ask the partner to identify the floor and the entrance shown in the photos. Upper ground, first and second floor descriptions are not interchangeable. Confirm whether stairs remain between the parking area, lift and flat entrance, especially if step-free access matters to you.
Request a walkthrough of this particular home. A building can contain several similar floors with different furnishing, light, layouts and asking rents. Check that the photos and quoted price refer to the same unit.
Does “parking available” mean an allocated car space?
- Confirm whether the space is in stilt parking, outside the building or on the street.
- Ask whether one dedicated car space is included in rent and whether another vehicle can block access.
- Check charges for an additional vehicle, visitor arrangements and the actual entry width.
- If parking is essential, inspect the space with the home before making a decision.
What does power backup cover?
Ask whether backup is an inverter, a generator or only backup for common areas. A lift with backup does not establish that sockets inside the flat have backup too. Ask which lights, fans, appliances and sockets are covered, and whether air conditioning is excluded.
Confirm whether backup has a separate fixed or usage-based charge. Water supply, pumps, internet and mobile coverage are separate questions; do not infer them from a general “24/7 facilities” description.
How do you compare the full rental cost?
Compare entire-home rents with other entire-home rents. Add known monthly maintenance and fixed charges, then ask about electricity, water, parking, internet and backup billing. Confirm the deposit, advance rent and any brokerage separately from recurring costs.
For illustration, ₹50,000 rent with ₹3,000 monthly maintenance has a known monthly subtotal of ₹53,000 before any unspecified utilities. Fifteen days’ brokerage calculated as half of the quoted monthly rent would be ₹25,000 once; confirm the partner’s actual calculation and terms. These figures are examples, not a Gurgaon market-price estimate.
What should you confirm before arranging a visit?
- Current vacancy, the move-in date and whether the supplied photos still represent the unit.
- The exact sector, address and entrance; a neighbourhood map pin may only be approximate.
- Who you are dealing with: owner, agent or another authorised contact.
- Which furniture and appliances remain, including ACs, geysers, beds and white goods.
- The occupants and arrangements the owner accepts, including flatmates, pets and guests.
- The rent, additional charges and agreed terms in writing before any payment.
How can HouseHunt help?
Browse published rentals by Gurgaon sector and BHK, then read the supplied costs and partner details on each property page. Call or WhatsApp HouseHunt with the listing link, budget and preferred move-in date to ask about current availability and a viewing.
Publishing or updating a listing does not verify that it is vacant. Missing costs mean the amount was not supplied. HouseHunt does not treat an approximate sector pin as an exact property address or an advertised asking rent as a completed rental transaction.
